Radon Applications

Radon baths are the important part of physiotherapy and in spa medicine in treatment of cardiovascular and other diseases. Ultramicrodoses of radon dissolved in water makes a positive impact on central nervous system and many body functions.

Physicians suppose that the radon-222 contribution is least. The most of alpha-particles it emits are caught by the water and do not reach the skin. However the active film-layer of radon decay products affects the organism after the therapy. Breathing radon-enriched air is also used. However the highly accurate dosages must be strictly controlled. In case of some diseases radon therapy is not allowed.
